The facility - the Korea-German Institute of Technology - is one of the largest research and development center projects in the capital.
The institute will offer master's and doctorate degrees for science and engineering students beginning in late 2008. The teaching staff will come from the partner German universities.
The institute will feature 10 research divisions including information technology, nanotechnology, and biotechnology.
